Providing the platform for both business and IT based communities to collaborate in conversation, Inter-view 2016 business analysis survey open for insight.

The initiative is enthusiastically supported by the South African Chapter of International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA-SA), and respondents of this year’s survey stand a chance to win a two day pass to the 2016 Business Analysis Summit in Johannesburg *.

The call to participate in the 2016 Inter-View survey is now open: to become a part of it click here, and read further to learn how this ground-breaking research benefits you.

Inter-View conducts the only 360° research study, that gathers data from all interested stakeholders about the state of business analysis and its impact on projects. The results enable organisations to view information across demographics, practices, projects and people to leverage the true value of business analysis for practical improvement.

The survey gathers perspectives on:

  • Demographic profiles
  • Salary trends
  • Practice diagnostics
  • Career patterns
  • Global comparisons
  • Community predictions

The results are viewed through a set of lenses including location, gender, age, education, sector, industry, and employment status. From a human resources perspective, it considers business analysts’ motivations behind career choices, satisfaction, and retention. From a practice perspective it investigates the varying work environments, including organisational structures, methodologies, tools and techniques.

Insights from Inter-View are used to benchmark project delivery and growth of the business analysis profession year-on-year.  “Once the data is compiled and in its final Inter-View Report format, it allows us to identify which areas business analysis are performing, and which areas need to be further developed, which is really important for a profession on the rise .” Joe Newbert of Business Change Academy.

The number of participating organisations and business analysts has grown with every survey since Inter-View’s inception in 2014. This year’s goal is to eclipse 1000 respondents and we encourage all business and IT project specialisations, of all career stages, to be a part of it.
