There are no specific requirements for beginning your International Diploma.
What Exemptions are there?
Holders of the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) certification are exempt from the Requirements Engineering module and the knowledge-based specialist module.
WHICH MODULES DO I NEED?
To gain the Diploma in Business Analysis, you must pass four written examinations on a number of business analysis topics, each of which leads to a certificate which has value in its own right.

These certificate modules may be gained in any order and include the required examinations.
To gain the Diploma in Business Analysis, candidates must pass four one-hour written examinations on a number of business analysis topics, each of which leads to a certificate which has value in its own right.
To convert their set of certificates into the Diploma, candidates then attend an interview with two BCS examiners to confirm their technical, business and interpersonal competencies.
The structure of the diploma is as follows:
There are two core modules in the Diploma, which all candidates must attain. Candidates must choose one “knowledge-based” module and one “practitioner” module to complete their set of certificates.
Which they choose will depend on their own background and preferences (business versus technical, for example), what their organisation requires and the nature of their current roles.
These modules may be gained in any order.

What format is the oral exam?
The oral examination lasts for approximately 50 minutes, with two examiners:
Questions will be based on topics defined in the oral examination syllabus and from your chosen specialist modules. The questions will require you to apply your business analysis knowledge and understanding to scenarios described by the oral examiners.
