You need to pass four modules (two core, one knowledge-based, and one practitioner) and then the oral examination.
No, there are no specific entry requirements for the International Diploma in Business Analysis.
IIBA exemption: Holders of the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) qualifications are exempt from the Requirements Engineering module and the knowledge-based specialist module.
IREB exemption: If you have completed IREB’s Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE) Foundation level, you don’t need to take the BCS Certificate in Requirements Engineering.
Each course module takes 2-3 days of classroom study followed by an exam.
The oral examination lasts for approximately 50 minutes and you are required to demonstrate that you can put the competencies gained in the written examinations into a coherent context.
Which modules you choose will depend on your background, situation and preference, what your organisation requires, the nature of your current role and future career aspirations.
You can choose to work towards the Diploma module by module, or take all the modules together in a bundled training programme.
The course modules can be completed in any sequence.
There is no time limit, the modules do not expire. You can choose when you take each of the four courses.
The Diploma is a professional qualification and does not require recertification.
